This hands-on lecture, demo, and tasting will introduce you to the magic of fermentation—because let’s be real, fermented foods are delicious and good for you, but getting started can feel like a science experiment gone wrong. This class will take the guesswork out of the process, showing you just how easy (and fun!) it is to make and use fermented foods in your everyday meals. And there will be some tasty eats to enjoy while you learn.

What You’ll Learn to Make:

• Lacto-fermentation & Quick Ferments – The easiest way to preserve veggies using just salt and brine

• Kimchi – Spicy, funky, and totally addictive

• Sauerkraut – Classic, tangy, and packed with probiotics

• Miso – Deep, umami-rich magic in a paste

• Fermented Hot Sauces – Because life is better with a little heat

Jessie will break down the science, techniques, and pro tips for foolproof fermentation at home. You’ll taste some amazing fermented foods, swap ideas, and meet fellow fermentation fans—because Friday night is fermentation night!
