Spirit Guardians and Totems with Geoffrey Gorman Oct 10-13, 2025 $1150
Join legendary artist Geoffrey Gorman in a transformative, hands-on workshop that delves into the ancient, mystical art of totemic sculpture. Under Gorman's expert guidance, participants will learn to create symbolic, powerful sculptures from found objects, repurposed tools, cast-off hardware, furniture fragments, and other discarded treasures. Each piece will draw inspiration from natural creatures and ancient totems, infusing each sculpture with a sense of spirit and storytelling through materials.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or new to sculpture, Gorman’s workshop promises an inspiring blend of creativity, spirituality, and hands-on experience. Embrace the magic of totemic sculpture and uncover the stories within the objects around us.
We will dedicate a day to visiting the renowned Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, where you’ll explore a diverse range of totemic sculptures and personally meaningful creations from around the world. This inspiring museum is an ideal place to ignite your imagination and generate ideas for your own work.

Workshop Info:
Tuition $1150 *For this workshop Muses is accepting deposits of 50% with the remaining balance due after 90 days of initial deposit. All accounts must be paid in full by July 1, 2025. Please select 50% Deposit to reserve your spot in class. We regret that deposits are not refundable.
Materials: Students will bring a small selection of basic hand tools, adhesives, and personally meaningful or interesting ephemera to create their sculptures. A detailed materials list will follow.
All skill levels welcome
This workshop has a minimum enrollment requirement. Please purchase travel insurance if planning on making immutable travel arrangements.

Please note our cancellation policy: After registration and payment, students have 48 hours to cancel with a 15% admin fee deducted from their refund. After the 48 Hr cancellation period and up until 2 weeks before the workshop begins a refund will be given (-a 15% admin fee) only if the spot can be filled by another student.
